The law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., is pleased to welcome Christopher Kwelty as an Associate. He joins the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, concentrating in the area of complex and commercial litigation, including securities and class action matters.
Kwelty has experience handling contractual disputes and class action lawsuits, from pre-suit settlement negotiations to trial, and skillfully managing case files. He has handled suits filed under the Employee Retirement and Income Security Act (ERISA) and the Investment Company Act of 1940, as well as ERISA excessive fee and prohibited transaction class action litigation, including matters involving business counseling and commercial foreclosures.
Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, Kwelty was a litigation associate for a firm specializing in commercial and complex litigation. Kwelty earned his J.D. in 2015 from Rutgers University School of Law—Camden, and his B.S. from The College of New Jersey in 2008. After graduating, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Stephen Taylor, J.S.C., of the Essex County Superior Court.
