  • May 31, 2019Barbara Hollenbach Moderates “Legal Updates” at the 18th Annual Pennsylvania Workers’ Comp Conference

    Barbara L. Hollenbach, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., will moderate “Legal Updates” on June 3 – 4 at the 18th Annual Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Conference in Hershey. The panel is an open discussion focusing on leading cases and potential problematic issues facing workers’ compensation practitioners.

    The conference, which promises a sharing of practical, useful and timely information, and provides a unique opportunity to network with other workers’ compensation professionals, is attended by 1,400 people including employers, case managers, third-party administrators, defense/claimant counsel, and others.     A resident of Bethlehem, Hollenbach focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, professional liability, products liability, and general litigation. She is certified as a specialist in workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Her civil litigation experience includes representing manufacturers of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and other products; professionals including psychiatrists and veterinarians. She also represents clients in will contest actions including allegations of undue influence and lack of mental capacity. She has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for the past 10 years.  She was the first woman elected president of the Northampton County Bar Association, and is a past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Law Section.  From 2011 – 2016, Hollenbach served on the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Rules Committee.  A Fellow of The College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, Hollenbach has co-authored and co-presented the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Workers’ Compensation Practice & Procedures manual and course since 2000.  An active community volunteer, she serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites.

    Hollenbach earned her J.D., cum laude, from Dickinson School of Law in 1978, and her B.A., with highest distinction, from Pennsylvania State University in 1975

    Barbara L. Hollenbach, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., will participate in the Pennsylvania Bar Institute “Best Practices: The Well-Prepared Workers’ Compensation Lawyer,” sponsored by PBA Workers’ Compensation Law Section on Wednesday, May 29, 1:00 – 4:15 p.m.

    Barbara L. Hollenbach, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin P.A., has been selected for inclusion in the 2019 Edition of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers. She was first selected for inclusion in 2006 and has been selected every year since 2008.  Only five percent of Pennsylvania lawyers are given this honor.

    Barbara L. Hollenbach, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been elected Chair of the Board of Trustees of Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites for 2019.

    “I am honored to have been elected to serve as Chair for 2019. I am looking forward to working with our very talented staff and board to promote the mission of HBMS and the initiative to recognize Historic Moravian Bethlehem as a UNESCO World Heritage site,” said Hollenbach.

    Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites brings history to life by educating the public about Bethlehem’s rich heritage; by preserving historic sites; and by collecting, preserving, and exhibiting historical and artistic objects that can be used to tell stores of Bethlehem’s people.
